I am continually blown away by the number of people relocating to Toronto. I grew up in the city, North Toronto to be more accurate, Lawrence Park to be specific. I cannot get over how much the City of Toronto has grown. There are condo buildings throughout the downtown core, up the Yonge Street spine and into Mid-town Toronto and further into the former city of North York. Each newly expanded area offers new opportunities for those who have recently moved to the city.

I recall hearing Jennifer Keesmaat state at a real estate panel down at The University of Toronto’s Rotman School Of Management that Toronto has between 150,00 and 200,000 people moving to our city each year! This is incredible growth! What is also so very important to acknowledge is that there are not enough condos, apartments or houses to house all of these people. Also, important to note, the Millennials who are moving into the city feel they must live downtown, in a condo and within a very short walk to work. This explains the incredible growth of the Bay Street corridor, King West, Liberty Village, Spadina near the Rogers Centre. There are massive populations of people in these neighbourhoods.

It is so important to know the many ins and outs of the city if you plan on relocating to Toronto. There are so many wonderful neighbourhoods and there is no doubt that one will suit you perfectly if you get the right advice for you.

It will be very interesting to see what the coming years will bring our city. My expectation is that the density in the core will skyrocket, literally. Picture Manhattan. We are headed down that path.
