What Makes Trinity Bellwoods So Great?

The gem of Trinity Bellwoods is, as you might have guessed, the park that sits in the middle of the neighbourhood. Trinity Bellwoods park is a little bit of everything, a green oasis, a hideout for the area’s iconic white squirrels, a dog park, a hip hangout in the summer, and a picturesque shortcut to either Dundas or Queen Street.

As charming as it is, Trinity Bellwoods is truly all about convenience. Not only do you live right downtown, but you live in one of the area’s coolest enclaves. If you’re in your 20’s, Trinity Bellwoods also happened to make my list of places to live in Toronto.

Types of Homes

This is the type of area where you can choose between century homes and condos, which is exactly what makes it so great.

The same as West Queen West, the condos that you are likely to find in the Trinity Bellwoods area are often lofts and townhomes. Older lofts, like Candy Factory Lofts, converted to accommodate hip downtown living.

You Should See

It has to be the park! Trinity Bellwoods is one of the best places to visit, no matter the time of year. You could pack a picnic and hang out in the summer, take a quiet stroll through during the winter, take your dog for a walk, or head to the rink and play a quick game of shinny.

Neighbourhood Hotspots

One of the best sections of Queen Street West is right across the street from the park. If you’re here in the morning, you can grab coffee at Sam James or the White Squirrel, lunch at Fresh on Crawford, and then Nadege for macarons afterward.

Getting Around

You’re in luck! No matter which side of the neighbourhood you’re on, you’re close to a major streetcar route – either the 501 along Queen, or the 505 along Dundas. There are also a smattering of bus routes, specifically along Ossington street, which are convenient to get north around Bloor, or south in Liberty Village or down by Lake Ontario.
