Broadview Hotel Rooftop Bar

Leslieville has become one of the more vibrant neighbourhoods in Toronto. The hood is a beautiful spot to raise a young family. There are many excellent restaurants, cafes and shops. The access to parks and the waterfront also makes this a great outdoor and pedestrian accessible spot in our city.

We are going to dive into some of our (and our clients and friends) favourites things to do in our Leslieville Neighbourhood Guide. Let’s get started.

Maple Leaf Tavern

A favourite dinner spot is the Maple Leaf Tavern – a great spot to have a meal and enjoy a cold one.

Bonjour Brioche

A mainstay in the brunch front for many years. It’s a classic French (obviously) focused menu. Great gracious and baked goods! We know some clients who buy most of their salad dressing from Bonjour Brioche. (It’s that good)

Prohibition Gastropub

An approachable atmosphere that offers some except meals, even for these looking to eat the keto diet (Ketogenic diet). Bonus: Prohibition has an excellent happy hour service.

Impact Kitchen

Josh and his team have created what Toronto has been lacking, a health food-focused offering that brings the who’s who of Toronto athletes, Nutritionists and trainers. Great food and smoothies while on the run or for a sit-down.

Saulter St Brewery

A fan favourite of many, this brewery is fun with a great atmosphere. Be sure to ask for their flights of beer hidden list. (It’s worth it…)

Broadview Hotel

You would be hard-pressed to think you aren’t in NYC as you sit on the rooftop, sipping a Chardonnay on a sunny day. The views are wonderful from the Leslieville as there are so few taller buildings in the east end.

Opera House

This concert venue does bring the odd nostalgia band (did you catch Rick Astley in 2017?). You can also choose to drop in on a random band – punk rock lives on at the Opera House.

Butchers of Distinction

A great place to get all of your meat. This is an excellent neighbourhood butcher. You get to know the guys by name. They are also incredibly insightful when it comes to cooking and BBQ tips.

Leslieville Spit Walk & Bike Rides

One of the lesser-known escapes in Toronto is the Leslie Spit on weekends. The spit offers a great walking and biking riding path. If you are feeling particularly ambitious, try paddleboarding across from Cherry Beach. It’s a lot of fun. This also provides a fantastic view of Toronto. As if you have left the city and can appreciate it’s splendour from the comfort of nature.

We love Leslieville! There are so many options to enjoy! This is far from being an exhaustive list of things to do in Leslieville. We hope it’s something to get you started.
