Wychwood was long overlooked as an excellent family neighbourhood in Toronto, and this began to change in 2010, it was as if our city realized how wonderful the streets are, the architecture of many homes and the ease and accessibility of the TTC to go cross-town and downtown. We think so much of Wychwood that we consider the neighbourhood to be one of the Top 5 Family Neighbourhoods in Toronto.
One of Toronto’s hidden gems is found in Wychwood, Wychwood Park, to be specific. This a gated community located in the southeastern region of the neighbourhood. It’s an incredible spot with beautiful homes and in the winter a locals-only frozen pond for the kids to skate on.
The famous Canadian Philoshper, Marshall McLuhan, owned an incredible home nestled in the park.
Those homeowners fortunate enough to live on the southern portion of Wychwood have expansive views over the city, the bench (which was once the Lake Ontario shoreline) offers a vantage point found nowhere else in Toronto!

CocoaLatte
CocoaLatte is our favourite, turquoise coloured cafe in Toronto. Excellent comfort foods best suited for breakfast, brunch and lunches. The coffees are excellent as well! Be sure to grab a dessert to accompany your coffee!
The Stockyards Smokehouse & Larder
Who doesn’t love a little American BBQ food from time to time? Well, this is Wychwood’s local favourite. It’s a great spot in the summer – envoy their eats as you down a cold one on St Claire Avenue West!
El Rincon Mexicana
One of Toronto’s favourite Mexican restaurants can be found in Wychwood. El Rincon Mexicana is a longtime favourite. They have a great mix of modern and traditional meals, as you will see when you arrive, this is an authentic styled Mexican restaurant, unlike most modern spaces that pump up the hip factor.
Artscape Wychwood Barns
When Artscape redesigned the Wychwood Barns building, a considerable statement was made to the neighbourhood, Wychwoow had arrived. The community had somewhere to meet up, an arts and culture centre with excellent events year-round. This is an artist’s hub that has dramatically improved Wychwood.
