Let us start by saying that Bedford Park (our number 2 ranked neighbourhood to raise a family!) isn’t necessarily known for fine dining or culinary delights. But don’t stop reading here, there is a selection of restaurants that are worth exploring.
Pubs? Yes, there is a long history of popular Pubs from the Sailor’s Dickie through to Gabby’s and a more recent one that still holds a warming place in our heart, we have included it below.
Casual dining is the name of the game in Bedford Park.
Arguably the most famous place to eat in Bedford Park has been Belly Buster Subs. Belly’s has been a destination of every Lawrence Park student for decades now! (It’s a common experience to see half a dozen LP high school students spill out of a car a lunchtime to grab a bacon combo!) Despite a deep fondness of our roots, we won’t claim that Bellys is a restaurant for this blog!

Shousin
Shousin is a stunning, minimalist Japanese restaurant above Hoggs Hollow. The space is beautiful! The sushi is presented just as you would expect after walking into the Shousin, the details and presentation are simply incredible. The omakase sushi is wonderful – for those unsure of “omakase” this is the chef’s choice of ingredients, it’s worth entrusting yourself to the chef, you won’t be disappointed!
Abbott Pub
Any local Bedford Park resident knows this is the best pub in the neighbourhood. The food selection is Gastro Pub. It’s hard to beat the Abbott on a Fall or Winter’s evening. It’s a warming space deeply rooted in British ways. It’s a wonderful place to connect with a friend or more.
Stack
A BBQ staple in Bedford Park for nearly a decade now. One of the local’s favourite go-to spots featuring Southern Style BBQ and craft beer.
