College St Sign

There was a point about 15 years ago when Little Italy was hoping with clubs, restaurants, cafes, and the list goes on. You could say that Ossington and the Junction have taken the torch from Little Italy. It’s pretty incredible watching Toronto’s neighbourhoods evolve. Little Italy was considered the west end and gentrifying 15 years ago. There remain some excellent restaurants and cafes. Not to mention some of the most elegant century homes south of Bloor Street!

Best Restaurants In Little Italy

Cafe Diplomatico

When we think of mainstays in Little Italy, Cafe Diplomatic immediately comes to mind. We have downed many cappuccinos for the last 20 years at this cafe. This family-run gem is a must for brunch of a bit of pizza! Nothing else says Little Italy better.

Bar Isabel

First off, we wish you the very best in getting a table! This Spanish tapas restaurant is busy. All. The. Time. This alone is proof of how good the food is. Bar Isabel has a great vibe! Go, do not overthink this. Just go…and enjoy!

DaiLo

When Grace Restaurant closed on College (at Palmerston Boulevard), we were sad. This was a near-religious experience for us. Frequently visiting, perhaps three times a month! But life moves on. Thankfully Nick Liu brought in an excellent alternative. There is a teahouse vibe to this mix of pan-Asian flavours.

Despite the changes that College Street has experienced over the years, there are some great restaurants. We hope you enjoy it!
