December 20, 2018 | Good to Know

In the span of 20 years Toronto’s average home price has increased by 4.5X. Due to the increase in Toronto home values, there are many areas that have gentrified and now boast the “creative class”. Areas that would not have attracted the wealthy. Areas like West Queen West, Riverdale, Dufferin Grove, the list goes on and on. That being said there are tried and true areas of Toronto that have long stood as the Wealthiest Neighbourhoods in Toronto. Here is a list of some of them.

1) Lawrence Park

Lawrence Park is one of the most affluent and wealthiest areas in all of Toronto. Due in part to its history and its status, Lawrence Park real estate boasts beautiful homes, access to the city’s best schools, and a quiet small-town feel. All this considering its proximity to Mount Pleasant Road – which features convenient access to the city’s core.

2) Lytton Park

This established North Toronto neighbourhood, centred around Lytton Park itself, is known for its large, beautiful character homes set on mature, tree-lined streets featuring sizable lots with manicured gardens. Check out our Lytton Park Niehgbouhood Spotlight.

3) Rosedale

If you were standing in the middle of Rosedale, it would be easy to forget that you’re just a short drive from the heart of the city. Residents and guests of this affluent community are treated to a picturesque scene of exquisite real estate properties amongst the greenspaces, ravines, and trails, which provide the ideal environment for an active lifestyle. Have a look at some of our favourite Rosedale restaurants.

4) Summerhill

Summerhill is a small, tree-lined area just north of Yonge and Bloor that’s centred around the old Summerhill train station (now a popular, and well-stocked, LCBO location). The area consists of quiet streets, beautiful homes, and convenient access to neighbourhood shopping and Toronto’s downtown core. Summerhill real estate has quickly become one of the city’s most desirable and wealthiest neighbourhoods to call home – as such, Summerhill even made my list of where to live in Toronto.
